Super biofuels, super starvation !

If biofuels help us to pollute less the planet, we need a lot of water and cereals to produce them.

What should we do?

If we keep using oil, there will be more and more greenhouse gas into the atmosphere, glaciers will melt, there will be big storms, temperatures will rise . . .
And there will be oil shortage.
So we have to use biofuels.

But, if everyone can't eat enough, and if there are bad harvests today, (how) what will we do when biofuels will be widely commercialized ?

It needs a lot of cereals, and about 4000 liters of water to produce one liter of bio-ethanol.
So, biofuels contribute to the food rising costs, and this increase penalizes the population.
In addition, they contribute to the deforestation : when they gain some lands and make them suitable for cultivation, they aggravate (the) pollution.

Today, we can't be sure that biofuels are the best solutions to preserve the Earth. We still have to work on biotechnologies.

To begin with, we have all noticed that the two candidates for the democracy are the perfect contrary: a man, a woman, a black and a white. Will these four characters have an important influence on the 2008 US elctions? Will people vote for their physical appearance or for the content of their presidential program?
Since 1988, the white house had only known a Bush-Clinton dinasty. The "white men's power" had never been challenged. But this year, two new cases were presented and broke the laws of presidency.

Barack Obama is a 46 years old young black man that had emerged as the best contender of these elections. By the medias device, the social-climber had charmed a good part of the USA. Hillary Clinton is a 60 years old white woman, one of the most powerful first lady America had never experienced and comprehensively quite traditional and classic.
American people are under obama' s charm because they gave in him a hope of novelty for their country. But what is the source of this enthousiast? Some democrats said that: "If Obama was white, he would not be in this position of leader and if he was a woman, neither would he. He is lucky to be what he is." We are talking about Obama' s suspicious origines but Hillary is a woman and we don' t point it out as much. As long as a black will not be president, there will always be people to think it' s impossible.
Medias made of him their favourite beause nobody could embody modernity better than him. "He is the new generation", said recently the New York Times. But despite his attractive profile, Clinton is ahead in opinion polls.

If nobody reacts, all the ice floe will melt and the sea level will rise: as a consequence, the countries like Florida, Shangai or New-York will be under water. Everywhere the temperatures are increasing and it provokes lots of storms and hurricanes, especially in United-States.
We must use more green energies and less cars which pollute and product greenhouse gas. But on the top of this, each one must reduce his energy consumption.
We have to act together if we want to save to save our planet.

Obama-Clinton or Clinton-Obama : possible or not?

In according with(on bahalf of) the newpapers"usa today",a possible hypothesis to the us elections could take place ,a ticket Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton.

Remember ,when the ex-first lady asked(tps) Obama to be her vice president exchanging to stoping the race.(pourquoi un point??? la phrase doit continuer!)
Obama refused and exclaimed that he would be president and that he would make it to the end of the elections.

Opinion clearly demonstrated that if there was a democrat ticket it would be Obama-Clinton,the numbers are more telling:45% said that Obama-Clinton was acceptable against only 30% for Clinton-Obama.

But ,the chief question, is (what) which order (way)?

Nearly 1/4 of the population think that a ticket Obama-Clinton or Clinton-Obama is inacceptable.1/3 of Obama' s suporters and 1/3 of Clinton' s can' t bear this questions,they don t care.

Now,difficulties appear:

On the one hand, the race between the two candidates makes forget the republicans,John Mccain has already won,and he is preparing for the next elections between democrats and republicans.And on the other hand,the problem is if Clinton would come to won(win), young black people could restrain themselves to vote,and it could "open doors" to Mccain.And if it was Obama,old white women would noy vote for Obama.

"He isn't here to be vice president!"

The ex and recognize president,Bill Clinton said to the medias that a ticket Clinton-Obama would make them "strong",anyone could stop them!"

Obama yelled that he would go to h=the end and wouldn't let Clinton be president of USA.He said"i' m not here to become vice president,i'm the future president."

Heat-stroke, feeling concerned ?

(The) Global Warming (makes us feel) has been felt since (the year) 2000. The consequences are more and more catastrophic : storms, inundations, heatwaves... The situation is inflected from day to day.

( Why is the reconsideration of our life taking place so late?(excellent!)

The temperatures and the sea levels are rising up, the ice and the snow on the mountains are melting, and (the) pollution has become very important(ly). The situation will be terrific if there aren't more people reacting against (the) global warming. Nowadays, everybody knows the inconvenient truth about (the) global warming, but everybody is not reacting (nobody reacts) about that. Every day, people suffer from hot temperature, and it makes the seasons (be) upset. Our problem is our big consumption of oil, gas,... But for us, it's essential in our life.

(Then how can we change our way of life ?

There are many ecological solutions : ecological cars, solarpanols, windmachines... But this is not important enough. If we want a change, we must ( all the people who can ) live with the new accomodations and we must add this solution in our life if we want to avoid the world disaster which will occur.

( Does our society really give us the opportunity to save the planet ?

Take for example labels on plastic bottles ; we could modify them because they are so big and we could take smaller ones instead. But if we do that, maybe the market of the promotion could be less attractive than before. So what is the best solution ? Save(ing) our planet or save(ing) our economy ? These two questions are very different and I can't answer them because the subject is too complicated. But I think, to help the planet, people must do the minimum : recycle the trash and reduce them, be watchful about the consumption of water, reduce transportation with cars and use (preferrably) more public transport. The key to sucess is really awareness and then action. People could be more aware thanks to public communication campaigns. We need to make people think about the future of our planet. If not(otherwise) consequences will be irreversible. But the most important question is : can we change the world ?

After the reading of this article, think about it, and more importantly about what you can do.

They are melting as an ice cream in summer

Nowadays, global warming is invading the world, glaciers melting is getting more and more frequent. If, after all the warning from scientists, politicians, ... we don't act, the rising sea level could be terrible and the hole world could be in danger.

Since 1980, scientists measured an average thickness loss of 30 reference glaciers of about 34 feet.

Over the past 250 years, human activities ( industry, ... ) emitted large quantities of carbon dioxyde, ... into the atmosphere.The gas trapped solar radiation close to the planet which cause the global temperature to rise. Indeed the rising sea level is worse and worse and is treatening to flood cities. However, take as an exemple India, there are dramatic consequences. As the matter of fact rivers are fed by the Himalayan glaciers.Since the past millenium, their average loss has increased to around 20 inches.

Are we conscious of this fact ? Do we have really(do we really have) performent solutions ? Are we acting or are we simplely getting to sit idle and watch our planet being flooded ...
